ARE THERE REALLY NO JOBS?

Many undergraduates nurse the joy of graduating and being offered a job in an office, so they study hard to graduate with summer cum laude to make their dream come through. For some, they get theirs on a platter of gold while for others, the search is endless. Since the need for a white collar job continues to increase, what hope have our youths?

 You must have heard people making derogatory remarks about the deplorable state of employment in the country. Some threaten to leave the country for greener pasture, irrespective of how they get out. They seem to believe so much that nothing good can come out of their beloved country.
If the mountain doesn’t come to Mohammed, Mohammed will have to go to the mountain. This is a popular aphorism people chorus almost all the time, but its application is difficult when the need for a job comes.
Why do people build the myths that one cannot make it in life outside white collar offices? Of what good is it when graduates sit back in the comfort of their homes waiting for manna to fall from the sky?
They keep inflicting pain on themselves and raining curses on government for not making jobs available. Were the private companies built by the government? If those people had waited for the government to make jobs available, obviously there wouldn’t be jobs anywhere except those provided by the government.
Some persons would say they have applied countless times to companies, yet got no feedback. Have you ever thought of doing that thing you know how to do which can make you an employer?
How lazy can people be? They blame government for virtually everything. Would they also blame government for stopping their ideas from being put in use; their dreams from being pursued?
People are not likely to make things happen because;
1.      They are afraid of taking risks.
2.      They want to do what everybody is doing: understand that everybody must not have white-collar jobs.
3.      They lack commitment.
4.      They don’t want to be tagged failures.
5.      They lack motivation to do something unique.
There is a seed of greatness in every being that is born of a woman; people don’t realise it due to one excuse or the other. Nothing is too small to start with; no time is too late to start doing something. You must not be educated to make things happen. Don’t blame anyone for your misfortune. Keep busy.
