AS SHE GOES HOME

She had great dreams but death was around the corner to stop their accomplishment. She never knew her life was going to be short. She had wept and mourn for the dead around her, not knowing she was going to be the next. She had made prayers for her future asking the Almighty to help her attain them.
But where is she now? she lay lifelessly in the cold arms of death not knowing she ever existed.
As I tried to remember her beautiful face salted water began rushing out of my red eyes then I began to write this;

One day, our eyes will close and never open again;
One day, our nostril will refuse to take in air;
One day, our cherished skin will become food to worms;
One day, the ground will swallow us up and become our place of rest;
One day, we will become carcass living among insects;
One day, we will part ways with those people we call family and friends;
One day, we will forget ever being in a place called earth;
One day, we will lay lifeless and have nothing to worry about;
One day; we won’t need food to survive;
So, why the struggle as though this world belongs to us?
